Little T was so great for pictures. And his skin looked beautiful with my new backdrops! I was so happy with the outcome of his session. His mom is going to have a hard time choosing which ones to print. They are all so cute and there are so many! Here's just a couple of my favorites:

Newborn Session Prep!

I get the question a lot… "what do I bring? when do we schedule pictures? what do you provide? will my baby get to eat during pictures?". I'm hoping this will answer all your questions, but it may not. If you do have any other questions feel free to use the contact tab and send me a message.

Scheduling: 

Please call me the day you have your baby or the day after so we can schedule your session within the 4-10 day range. I will schedule newborns who are up to 14 days old and newborns older than 14 days who have been in the NICU. But where possible I do recommend the 4-10 day range because they sleep longer and are more easily posed therefore making it so you receive more photos back. 

About your newborn session:

• ·      Typically they last 2-3 hours
• ·      There will be time for 1-2 feedings in the session as needed

Preparation before you come:

• ·      Try to feed your baby right before you come if possible
• ·      Keep your baby awake the hour before you session if you are able (sometimes its hard, don’t stress this one).
• ·      Please come comfortable! You have a newborn in your home which means you have been up all night for a number of days now. No need to get ready to come for pictures. I always dress comfortable as well. 

What to bring:

• ·      5-6 extra diapers
• ·      feeding supplies (nursing cover, bottles, formula)
• ·      burp cloth
• ·      binky
• ·      waterbottle for you and snacks (you can totally snack during pictures and you may need to especially if you are nursing)
• ·      any headbands you love for girls, or bow ties for boys
• ·      any sentimental items you want in photos

What I will have for you at the session:

• ·      fabric and vinyl backdrops
• ·      baskets, buckets
• ·      cheese cloth wraps
• ·      hats for boys and girls
• ·      headbands, tutus, and pearl necklaces for girls
• ·      pant sets and overalls boys 

Miss B {5 days new}

This little princess was such an angel for her session. And me and her cute momma hit it right off. It was a blast and she looked gorgeous in every color we put her in!

Baby R.

Baby M.

I loved photographing this baby girl! She was perfectly sleeping and just gorgeous! Me and her mom had a lot of fun accessorizing her too! :)

Baby V.

Meet the very beautiful baby V. This little girl slept like a champ and was asleep most of the session. I absolutely adore how her photos are turning out.

This pink crochet blanket is very special because baby V's mother was also photographed as a newborn on the blanket. What a perfect heirloom. I'm so glad mommy brought it for the session. :)

Baby Kenly

Kenly's mom and I have been friends for quite some time now. It was fun to have her over for pictures and to chat and to meet this sweet little princess who is the baby to 3 older brothers. The cute banner pictured was a gift at her baby shower…. and to prove that I make baby's smile I included the subtle smile she gave in the Santa hat. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

Baby Owen

Owen's mommy scheduled with me last minute, like 4 days after he was born for the very next day. I'm so glad it was open! It actually worked out perfect for me and for her! She was planning on doing his newborn photos in the hospital, but shortly after his birth she learned they are no longer doing photography for newborns in the Utah Valley Hospital. What a shame for them, but wonderful for me! Luckily she called me right up and she brought him in during that ideal 5-10 day window. If that was your plan too, please schedule your due date with me! I am not always able to schedule you in last minute, but I always have room if your due date is on my list!

And these precious images are definitely worth it. 

Sisters...

I got some new backdrops recently so I had to have my sister and her two beautiful daughters come in for pictures. We had a great time!

Shhhh….

Don't tell… surprise for my Sister!!

You know how usually the photographer takes pictures with the parent present…. well… it's nice when its your niece. My sister just left her in my care and we took some pictures and she flashed me this beautiful smile! This is getting framed TODAY for my sweet sister. I love what I do! :)
